After this week’s county tour across western Minnesota, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar has met with Minnesotans in all 87 of our state’s counties, as she does every year. Klobuchar pledged to continue to visit all 87 counties again in 2018.

“Listening to the people of Minnesota is the best way for me to do my job and determine what’s working and what’s not for our state,” said Klobuchar. “That’s why every year I meet with Minnesotans in every one of our state’s counties and discuss what we can get done for Minnesota.”

Klobuchar’s final rural economy tour centered on public discussions about agriculture and rural economic development with local leaders. At the last stop of the year, Klobuchar discussed regional priorities for the 2018 Farm Bill with Steve and Lynell Sunderland at their farm outside Montevideo. Earlier in the day, Klobuchar highlighted policies to support people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia in Granite Falls and discussed rural economic development in Clinton.

Klobuchar’s visits throughout the state have ranged from meetings on health care delivery to expanding access to rural broadband to combatting the opioid crisis to ensuring Minnesota veterans get the benefits they deserve.
